GetTested.sg - Colorectal Cancer Screening Blood PCR Test
Accepted Clinical Test Specimens
COVID-19 PCR Tests: Nasopharyngeal swab (or oropharyngeal swab), UTM specimen tube. The UTM specimen tube must be affixed with Acumen’s barcode label if available at your clinic.
AcuSept Tests: Minimum 2 ml whole blood in 3-4 mL EDTA blood tube.
Unyvero HPN Tests: Minimum 0.5 ml sputum, bronchoalveolar lavage, or tracheal aspirates in any suitable sterile container.
Epi proColon 2.0 CE Tests: Minimum 12 ml whole blood in EDTA blood tube(s). The specimen tube must be affixed with Acumen’s barcode label if available at your clinic.
HPV PCR Tests: SurePath or ThinPrep cervical swab samples.
Specimen Rejection Policies
Due to patient safety, specimens received under the below conditions may be rejected. The laboratory will immediately call the ordering doctor or clinic to request for clarification or for a second sample to be sent to the laboratory.
Mislabelled or unlabelled specimens (e.g., no patient ID; no test code; illegible info)
Use of incorrect or contaminated container
Insufficient specimen volume
Clotted or frozen blood specimens
Use of expired consumables
Leaking samples
Information on the Clinical Test Order Form and on the label affixed to the specimen do not tally
